KauID is your digital identity as a student at Karlstad University.

You will use your KauID during your entire period of study to access services like My Kau, Canvas LMS, the wireless network, Ladok for students, library services and more.

New students can activate their KauID from week 52

When you have logged in with Freja+ you will be sent back here to choose a new KauID password.

Reset password using BankID

When you have logged in with BankID you will be sent back here to choose a new KauID password.

Reset password using eduID

When you have logged into eduid.se with your account details you will be sent back here to choose a new KauID password.

Other ways to activate

Reset password with an activation code

If you have an official Swedish personal identity number and live in Sweden, you should avoid this option. You will not be able to access My Kau or Ladok for Students.

We recommend that you activate your KauID using either Freja+, BankID, eduID or universityadmissions.se instead.
